I’m Greg Johnson, a website designer in the Iowa City area. I setup the Iowa City Website Designers website as a platform to showcase the work of local website designers, and to help customers find a designer that’s a good fit for their needs.

Although I have my own site to promote my work, I’m sometimes asked to impartially serve as a volunteer on committees and local organization boards to evaluate which local designers might best serve their needs. I enjoy that role, and this site helps facilitate that work. Even in my own consulting I frequently refer potential customers to other local developers.

My niche is fairly focused. I build smaller low cost sites for individuals, small businesses, and non-profits. I provide the training people need to setup their own site and keep it going.

Most of the other designers and firms in the area focus on larger more complex websites. So, I don’t feel like I’m competing too much with others in the area.
